Ketchikan is one of “America’s Top 100 small arts communities”. Visit a variety of shops and galleries featuring resident artists. In Misty Fjords, learn the natural history, listen to the call of nesting seabirds, and feel the mist of glistening waterfalls while gliding quietly beneath glacier-sculpted cliffs.

Take a jet boat tour of the Stikine River, the fastest navigable free-flowing river left in North America, and enjoy a city walking tour.

Day 4 | Petersburg & Hobart Bay
Petersburg is a fishing town established by Norwegian fishermen in the late 1800’s. At the Sons of Norway Hall, enjoy a Norwegian Folk Dance show performed by Petersburg’s children. Enjoy exclusive access to Hobart Bay to our own wilderness  adventure base camp.

Day 5 | Hobart Bay
Guests enjoy a second day at our adventure base camp, outfitted with sea kayaks, small outboard driven Zego runabouts, and all-terrain vehicles.

Day 6 | Windham Bay
This well-outfitted base camp offers up-close wildlife viewing, and time to relax at the remote lodge. We also provide sea kayaks and outboard driven two-person runabouts.

Day 7 | Tracy Arm
In Tracy Arm we will explore the full length of this ice-carved fjord; tracing the face of cliffs that rise 4,000 feet above the sea.

Day 8 | Juneau
Highlights of the scenic state capital include the Mendenhall Glacier and Mount Roberts Tram. We’ll depart Juneau to Colt Island and go ashore for an Alaska salmon and king crab dinner.

Day 9 | Glacier Bay National Park
A Glacier Bay National Park Service Ranger leads our programming and a Native Huna Tlingit interpretive naturalist joins us to reveal traditional ties to this ancient treasure.

Day 10 | Skagway & Haines
Skagway is a historic klondike gold rush city where we will board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad (passport required) for a unique trip. Next stop a walking tour of Ft. Seward in scenic Haines.

Today we explore the Indian Islands, Idaho Inlet and Pt. Adolphus for ultimate viewing of Humpback whales and other marine mammals in their natural habitat.
