DAY 1 | Sitka Embark Alaskan Dream Cruises
Explore Sitka’s popular attractions: Sheldon Jackson Museum, Russian Bishop’s house and St. Michael’s Cathedral. Board a deluxe tour boat for a “Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest” excursion into beautiful Sitka Sound home to abundant wildlife.
DAY 2 | Juneau & Orca Point Lodge
Highlights of the scenic state capital include the massive Mendenhall Glacier and a soaring ride on the Mount Roberts Tram. We’ll depart Juneau for Colt Island and go ashore for an Alaska salmon and king crab dinner at Orca Point Lodge.
DAY 3 | Cruising in Glacier Bay & evening whale watching
A Glacier Bay National Park Service Ranger leads our programming and a Native Huna Tlingit interpretive naturalist joins us to reveal traditional ties to this ancient treasure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
DAY 4 | Tracy Arm & Sawyer Glaciers
We will explore the full length of this glacier-carved, jade-green fjord; tracing the sheer granite face of cliffs that rise 4,000 feet above the sea, punctuated by a multitude of waterfalls
DAY 5 | Hobart Bay to Windham Bay
Enjoy the morning in exclusive Hobart Bay and our wilderness adventure base camp. Tour choices include a ride on an All-terrain vehicle into the wild countryside or hitting the water on a small outboard-driven Zego runabout. There’s time before lunch to finish packing and check out of your stateroom. Bid farewell to crew and friends of the Alaskan Dream before boarding Windham Bay Lodge Catamaran for the journey to Windham Bay Lodge. A warm welcome awaits you, followed by a lodge orientation and cocktails. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a presentation on the history of the area.
DAY 6 | Windham Bay Exploration
After breakfast, paddle up the bay to a beautiful waterfall, then hike with a guide through the rainforest to explore the ruins of the early days of Windham Bay. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Chuck River Wilderness before paddling back to the lodge. Choose your own activities for the afternoon and re-join the group over dinner. End the day with an optional kayaking, a guided walk* or reading your favorite book (*based on tidal and weather conditions)
DAY 7 | Admiralty Island Exploration
Head to Admiralty Island for a day of wilderness exploration and a wildlife safari. Paddle kayaks, beach comb and savor a beach side lunch. After returning to the lodge, spend the afternoon at leisure before a delicious dinner is served. A special entertainment is planned by your lodge staff.
DAY 8 | Windham Bay to Juneau
Savor your farewell breakfast before departing Windham Bay aboard the Windham Bay Lodge Catamaran for a sightseeing cruise north to Juneau through Stephens Passage, exploring the coast of Admiralty Island, “Fortress of Bears.” Arriving in Juneau, there’s time at leisure to explore Juneau’s attractions, shop or board your airport transfer.
* It is the goal of Windham Bay Lodge team to explore at least one of the locations on Admiralty Island. Weather conditions apply which may alter the itinerary.
